Once you’ve created 4-6 pages of content and published your website you will need to place ads on the website so you can start earning revenue. The easiest way to do this is to sign up for Google Adsense. This is a program through Google where you place code on your website where you’d want advertising to appear. Google spiders your website and places ads that are related to the content on your website. This is called contextual advertising because as the subject matter of your site changes so do the ads. Google is very good at matching what ads are shown with the topic of your website so visitors are more likley to click the ads and thus generate revenue for you. Google will pay you an amount per click and this amount varys depending on how much the advertiser bid through the Google Adwords program. Some topics tent to pay more, some tend to pay less. I’d recommend not worying about the pay so much and just continue to generate content you can publish on the web. The more you publish the more you make as contextual advertising is truely a numbers game.
