When printing in Outlook 2007 you may receive the following error Unable to save the printer settings. Make sure the file c:\windows\outlprnt is not missing or write protected. This can be very frustrating, it recently happened to one of my executive customers. What we did to fix this error in Outlook 2007 was to browse to the c:\documents and settings\username\application data\microsoft\outlook folder, (replace username with the user profile of your user.) then we created a word document called Outlprnt.doc and left it blank just saved it so there was a file that existed. Then we closed Outlook 2007 and reopened and could print without seeing the ERROR Unable to save the printer settings. Make sure the file c:\windows\outlprnt is not missing or write protected.

If this does not work try opening the Outlprnt.doc file and put an x in it and save then close Outlook 2007 and try printing again.

If you are using Cisco Meeting Place for your conferencing and have recently upgraded to Office 2007 you may find that sometimes in Outlook 2007 you will have a missing Metting Place tab. I’m not sure why but the missing MeetingPlace Tab is a problem that can come and go in Outlook 2007. Generally the problem is that the Meeting Place Add In for Outlook 2007 is disabled. To re-enable the MeetingPlace add in just:
Click Tools
Click Trust Center
Click Addin’s on the left and near the bottom switch it to disabled items. See if Meeting place is disabled and if so re-enable it. Then close and restart outlook and see if the Meeting Place tab or buttons come back.

If this does not work, the you may need to uninstall Meeting Place, and reinstall the application. Then check to see if the Meeting Place add in is listed in Outlook. If you have a really stubborn problem, then you’ll need to uninstall Meeting Place, uninstall Office 2007 and reinstall Office and Meetingplace. This usually fixes even the most subborn issues of the tab missing in Outlook 2007.

The Outlook Autocomplete List or Outlook Nickname Cache is the lists of names that is shown when you start addressing and email using the To: CC: or BCC: field. It may be however that you want to start a new Outlook autocomplete list or maybe you want to prevent anyone from seeing who is on your Outlook autocomplete list. To clear the Outlook autocomplete list you want to start a new NK2 file. The easiest way to do this is to let Outlook create a new blank one after you delete or rename the curent NK2 file.
Close Outlook 2003 or 2007
Look in c:\documents and settings\username\application data\microsot\outlook on Windows XP or on Vista c:\user\appdata\roaming\microsoft\outlook for a file ending in NK2 then rename or delete the NK2 file and reopen Outlook. This will cause the Autocomplete list to be blank and it will build as you send emails.

Cannot Send This Item Outlook 2007

Cannot Send This Item Outlook 2007

If you are seeing an error in Outlook 2007 that states Cannot Send This Item when trying to reply to an email or forward an email it could be related to an image in the signature of the email you are trying to reply or forward to. A workaround to get emails in Outlook 2007 to reply and forward without the Cannot Send This Item error is to change the format of the reply or forward from html to rich text. Changing to rich text seems to convert the body of the email to the more secure rich text vs html which likley has a security problem with the graphic embedded in the signature. To change the message to rich text click on Options on the Outlook 2007 ribbon. Then in the Format section change to Rich Text. Then hit send and your message will go.
